Don't miss out on the first annual thinkGREEN event, presented by and held at Marvin's Organic Gardens. An educational day for the entire family including music, food, activities, door prizes, lectures, art, vendors and resources - all with one common goal - to educate our community on the environment and learning to live "green". This event is free and open to the public. Bring the whole family – we will have something for everyone!
Participants include Whole Foods, Five Rivers MetroParks, Innovative Beverages/Good Juice, Turner Farms, Park + Vine, Door To Door Organics, Mill Creek Watershed Council of Communities, Greater Cincinnati Rain Garden Alliance, Lucid Salon, artwork by Uta Reitman, Rumpke Recycling, John McCumber of Preferred Products, Chris McCullough of Wild Ones, James Kinsman of Green Energy Ohio and more!
All trees on sale this weekend at the Garden Center!
Lectures:
10:00am – Learning to Live Green” with Dan Korman of Park + Vine.
11:30am – “Basics of Composting” with Wes Duren of Marvin’s Organic Gardens.
1:00pm – “Bird & Butterfly Gardening” from the Ground Up with Chris McCullough of Wild Ones.
2:30pm – “Alternative Energy Sources” with James Kinsman of Green Energy Ohio.
Don’t miss out on the petting farm! It is baby animal time and your kids are going to love petting the babies brought to Marvin’s from Sunrock Farm. They will only be there from 11am til 1pm, so don’t miss out!
Music by Franklin Crow – Kids music at 10:30am & 1pm. More music at 3:30pm.
Food by The Veg Head, Loveland – Available all day!
