Corn Gluten: All Natural Pre-emergent weed control and fertilizer contains 9% nitrogen by weight. This product is derived from corn gluten meal, and is known to be extremely effective for weed control when applied in the spring and fall when weed seeds germinate. Corn gluten is used to reduce germinating weed seedlings on lawns, gardens and field crops. A broadcast spreader works best for application, and comes in granular form. It slowly releases nitrogen to keep your lawn and gardens full and healthy. Corn gluten also feeds soil microorganisms that help fight soil disease and loosen compaction. Corn gluten should be watered in after application, and can be worked into the top 2-3 inches of garden soil. This all natural weed & feed product is safe for humans, animals, soil and aquatic life. Children and pets can be active on treated areas immediately following application. Avoid spreading corn gluten in newly seeded lawn areas, or areas where biennials may reseed. Corn gluten will not eliminate existing weeds that are already well rooted. Corn gluten accumulates in the soil, and increases weed seed suppression every application.

Marvin's Organic Gardens 8-3-3 fertilizer is an well-rounded organic fertilizer made from composted poultry manure, feather meal, blood meal, humic acids derived from leonardite and sea kelp. It provides essential primary nutrients in both quick release (soluble) and slow release (insoluble) form that will provide a quick "green up" for lawns and gardens, as well as feeding the lawn, gardens and soil organisms slowly over the season. MOG 8-3-3 fertilizer stimulates naturally occuring soil microorganisms that aid in the decomposition of grass clippings and thatch build up, help plants uptake nutrients more affectively, reduce soil toxicity, as well as aiding in disease control, soil aeration and drainage. Secondary and trace elements are supplied by the sea kelp and humic acids that stimulate root growth, promote healthy landscape and vegetable growth, support long-lasting blooms, enhance turf and plant resistance to stresses of drought, traffic and wind dessication.
