TOP 10 FOR 2010
Over the past decade in business, we have had the privilege to work on hundreds of landscape projects throughout the Tristate area. Through those landscape experiences, we have observed what plants work in the landscape and which ones do not. We have been paying close attention to such attributes as: drought tolerance, disease resistance, speed of growth, year-round interest, ease of maintenance, function and general survivability. We originally set out to compile a top ten plant list that would encompass the best tree, shrub, perennial, grass, vine, annual, vegetable, fruit and herb. We soon realized that there are just too many excellent quality plants to lump them into a single top ten group, so we instead put together a top ten list for every major category of plant listed above to help promote and celebrate this rich diversity of plant life, and for your convenience in plant selection. We offer most of the below listed plants at our garden center and would be happy to help you find those which best suit your landscape needs. In most cases, rather than listing specific varieties, we have broadened our search to include entire Genera of plants, because a single Genus often bears many worthy varieties. All of these selection are easy to grow organically. Please use this list as a reference when seeking new and useful plants for your yard, as these selections have passed the test of time, and will provide you with nothing less than the best in 2010 and beyond!
